Trae is really good...but this game against wvu went exactly as I expected , I still don’t know bout him on the next level...size,athleticism, shooting n explosiveness is what I look for most in current NBA PG’s n he only got 1 outta 4

plus side is shorty only 18 n ballin :pimp:

I’ve been one of the rare ppl saying I’m not in on Donicic...gotta have plus athleticism to be great in the NBA(unless u bringing some something crazy like Steph), that’s a rule im always sticking to...off the jump he can’t guard most starters at his position

Good to see @osh kosh bosh coming around to it

Miller never had the mobility that Luka has while handling the ball.
    Curry

Think RJ going to cost someone their job. IMO his effectiveness will decrease as he gets to higher levels of competition. Def a man among teenagers though.

Sitting here trying to think what's Luka's best skill. He's got a lot of nuance to his game. Like he loves to play ball and make folks look foolish. I have to say that for a youngster his ability to step back and away from his shooting hand and still hit those long shots is remarkable. Harden does it after he picks up his dribble. This kid does it while his dribble is still alive. Not easy to do and stay on balance, let alone get a good shot off it.

    It's all about expectation

To expect trae or luka to be franchise type players, or legit #1 options, I am not expecting that

However I fully believe they can change a direction of a team right away, especially if combined with a few other right pieces

More than a safe bet to say the same about bamba and bagley

All these guys floors are exceptionally high and the value of this class is crazy

A better MIke Miller is def a good comparison for Luka on the safe side. Mike was 18/6/5 in his prime, and a borderline all star. I didn’t wanna go “white comparison” either...but I see it

Really think Brunson can be at least a good backup for a long time. During his high school days I thought he had the chance to be starter material in the pros, he had such an impressive showing for team USA

Someone going to get great value in the second round, I'd take him early in the second at worst

    This is an interesting topic

Basketball reference has him at 6'6
    Wiki has him at 6'7
    SI/USA today/old draftexpress has him at 6'8

It isn't a terrible comparison, but Luka is a far more adept ball handler and creator. Not that Mike was only a catch and shoot dude.

He's going to have difficulty guarding certain players, and may have trouble getting by certain defenders, but I can see him as a 20/6/6 dude when his prime comes along. Should put him in the running for several all-star games.

The high-end athleticism isn't there, which will probably stop him from being a 1st or 2nd team All-NBA, but he literally has every other tool you could ask for.

Wish the Knicks can somehow get Bridges. Once KP goes to the 5, he's the perfect 4 today. Strongly believe he can be a 35% 3pt shooter in the league. Would bring some toughness and defense too, NY would get behind him for sure.

He’d be a very nice fit there. Don’t think he’ll ever be an all-star type, but will be a workhorse type that you’d love to have on your team for a long time.

Everyone in action yesterday, and even a Barrett clip

As much as it sucks to see Ayton have to play against zones, it looks like he's able to attempt a lot of face up jumpers, might not be the most efficient but he's getting real live practice shooting at least

Trae Young's gearshifting ability is way too advanced at that age :smh:

I'm not concerned about him offensively on the next level at all. He's too poise, too crafty, and has too many moves that will offset the bigger and faster competition.

    Facts

I don’t think people truly understand how advanced his ball skills are. Like, shorty is for real for real.

One motion shooter too. He put the time in. Stupid GMs are going to make an obvious mistake passing on him due to “size and finishing ability” in favor for a bigger prospect .
