I can’t remember, but was “Light Cobalt” the same hue of Blue from the 998 NB1?

It almost looks Royal on the 997 rendering.

I've yet to order a NB ID. The 997 is tempting though. But for me the $220+tax price tag is just a little too high, especially with no returns. The color wheel doesn't always seem incredibly accurate. With Nike I know if they don't come out right I can take them straight back.

Yeah, I'm going to wait to make a NB1 997 when the color wheel changes or they drop a Premium option for them. (I can't buy sneakers like i used too; trying to get a house and stuff for my growing family) I can't wait to see what y'all cook up!

More bluish with a bit of green in it. I remember it on one of the example 998 pairs. also, ff you just google 'New balance [whatever color]', you can see how they use the color on other pairs.

There was someone a few pages back that posted a 998 with that color on the toe. It seemed very “Provider”-ish, but with a white midsole. I tried looking back a ways and I couldn’t find it. The user usually posts a pic, then in a “Spoiler” tag has the full size. If you’re reading this make yourself known dammit.....lol

These colors were updated around Sept. The previous color wheel was around 1.5 yrs or so. Before that it was about every 6 mths.

Here’s the Blue from the 998 NB1s. I believe it’s Light Cobalt too. It looks like a COMPLETELY different shade on the rendering. It looks more Royal Blue in them...


I like this simple design that I came up with. I don’t think I’d drop +200 on them though...

I'm coming around on the upper of the v5, but I think the part that is putting me off is the midsole. It looks too basic, like they were working towards something like the v4 and just stopped. I'm all for simplicity, but it just needs "something."
