Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

Finally found the 997H in grey locally. Hard to pass up at $90. Obviously synthetic upper but a great shoe for the money slightly different shape than a normal 997 as well.

One weird thing: 3M on the logo is hella reflective. It looks like it’s shining even in very normal light.

Was pursuing the current NB stock on St. Alfred's site and notice they've started listing their newer 998 models as "998 V1." Thought that was a bit strange so I did a google search for 998 V2 and came up with these (from an admittedly questionable retailer, bolksports.com):

Looks like the 998 sandwiched on top of a V3 sole (998.9) like NB did once before last year on the over-looked US998MC1. Wondering if this why the 998 got pulled from the NB1 program and if they'll be offering this as a replacement eventually. Interesting hybrid but I'm a fan of the original 998 sole.

Awesome. I always liked that 998MC1, but I never pulled the trigger. I don’t know if it was because of mesh or white leash, but something stopped me. I love the 998 for sure. I think the V4 is more comfortable than the V3, so I had hoped for that sole instead. Still a cool idea.

Hate to ask another sizing question but I’ve been hunting about for this. I’m wanting to get the concepts 997 New York model as I have been for awhile. I wear a perfect US 10 in other 997s (4 pairs) and a 9.5 in my 998 city rivalry as the leather and silk slid about.

Due to the silk sole and leather lining should I get 9.5 in the NY 997? I went 10 for the Cortado 997 and it was looser but a perfect fit around my toes.

For reference i also wear 10 in most shoes (997, vans etc) apart from 9.5 in timbs, 9.5 in 990 (wide) but go up half in ASICS GL3 and 5 and Ultra boost to 10.5.

Sorry for the text overload, just want to be sure as I won’t be able to easily return a wrong fit. Thanks heaps all!
