My 8.5 990V5 wears smaller than my 8.5 992. I also have a size 9 992 which looks way bigger than my 8.5 992 (the jump in dimension is significant, particularly the N logo). While the bigger 992 is more comfortable (since I have to wear thicker socks and my toes have more room), I wish I bought the 8.5 instead.
