Only you can answer the second part of the second question. v5 are generally considered more comfortable due to more modern cushioning tech.

thanks for the heads up man! i kept missing the random canadian releases... called an outlet nearby and they were able to find them in the system, couldn't do phone orders so i went in and placed an order through the store. felt like i was on a treasure hunt. according to matt the goat, the outlet inventory is different from normal stores.

Good decision! imho, the grey v5 could be the best of all the 990v5s thus the only pair I needed. I couldn't say the same about the grey 992s as there are other 992 colorways that look great on feet.
