Truth.com....alot of these kats are nerds who always wanted to be the most popular kid in school and now they spending outrageous money to "look like somebody" in their own warped minds, when in actuality, all they are impressing are the NT hypebeasts...all the fly chics these dudes couldn't and still can't get don't care that you spent that much on a sneaker  Like i said before, if i didn't get for MSRP, no way i would have had them for these ridiculous prices, same with the overhyped galaxy foams....

I see BIN prices of 3500-5000, if you pay those prices just bend over why don't ya.

 

Those people will never get that. They might as well just keep them in their closet until they die. No one is going to pay that amount.

 

I thought $2k was outrageous and people were just following the maximum that they've been hearing about. But I do know of a few people who got pairs and sold them for that much.

I'm still hoping there will be pairs out there when people forget about the shoe in 2 months. If the shoe really was mostly hype, then that will happen.

I just have to give my 2 cents...I'm kind of the bitter "old" shoe guy that doesn't like whats going on with shoes today, many of the younger heads disagree with me. That's ok, I've being buying shoes since '99 and I'll still be around a decade from now buying Jordans when people have moved onto other things...

Something is the matter with shoes when a rapper who make a fool of himself commands more money for his shoe that he has done NOTHING AMAZING IN compared to the man who made shoes popular with his amazing feats. Since when did wearing atheltic shoes made for a rapper become the thing to do over wearing athletic shoes made for an athlete? Not to mention the ugliness of the Yeezy 1 and 2. These shoes are bringing in more money than deadstock ORIGINAL Jordans that are the foundation for what sneakers are today. $2000 for a rapper's shoe? Yes, I couldn't agree more, attention is the reason people are buying these. It's sad that society judges others upon material possessions, but that's just how it is (Remember, you can't take them with you when you are six feet under). Nowadays it's easier than EVER to get ANY shoe you want because of the internet, so nothing is really rare or exclusive or hard to obtain because anybody with a credit card can buy anything they want online easily.

I won a raffle to get a pair when I went to the store raffling them to buy some Goadomes for work. All you had to do was buy an item in order to get a ticket, and my ticket was picked luckily. I didn't even look at the shoes other than to take pics to sell them. I sold them that night for a hair under $2K. You can call me a hypocrite or whatever, but if anyone is dumb enough to spend that much money on a pair of shoes with NO significance that are built strictly on hype, I'll sell them to that buyer everyday.

..so now that my Platinum pair just showed up, I can tell the story.

On Saturday morning when everyone was trying to get pairs on Tresbienshop.com (like myself) the servers quickly went down as expected. I found their Customer Service email address and shot them a two sentence email that went something like: "I'm trying to order a pair of US Size 10 Air Yeezy 2 from your website this morning, but the site is unresponsive. Please let me know if I can purchase a pair in US Size 10. Either color will do just fine. Thanks, Jason". Well, I sent the email and forgot about it. ..was on the computer all day/night until NDC tweeted the link, got lucky and got my Solar Red pair. I go to sleep happy with my Order Confirmation #.

Fast forward past the sweet dreams to Sunday morning. I check my email, and it's a response from Tresbienshop. They explained their servers melted down and that orders were being processed manually. If I wanted my pair of Size 10s, they had one Platinum Grey pair reserved for me. I Paypal'd them immediately 270.00 USD total. They sent me a shipping number yesterday and I received them today. 270.00 shipped from Sweden was less than my NDC order with overnight shipping and tax.

Yeah I do too, but I love the silhouette of the Y1's much more. 
The Yeezy 1's will be a more classic sneaker design wise while I feel the 2's will be a more classic sneaker element/quality wise. 

The thing I love about both of these shoes are that they take a push forward design wise to look more modern while keeping classic retro/OG Nike midsole's.

 

not necessarily.  if you got it money like that, then you can have pricey taste and afford the finer things regardless if you're trying to turn heads.  for the average person though,  straight frivolous.  people can enjoy a sneaker for what is without worrying about stunting.  

 

This sneaker or any other sneaker is only what u make it...wanna see the price drop on these stop buying from the resellers..we have the power to make the change PERIOD

 

Haha literally just laughed out loud but I definitely agree with you I could never imagine spending that kind of money for those shoes. I know I probably wont ever get a pair under a g but thats fine with me. Theyre just shoes at the end of the day. I couldnt have said it better if Im spending that kind of money on these shoes they better be doing something crazy for me.
  

 

Finally somebody spits some truth but this is what the game has come to now Im not surprised to say the least. You made an excellent point about how some non athletes shoe is costing more than jordans. I guess thats what we have to deal with now.
  

 

I got my Solars in from NDC yesterday & after opening them & seeing them in person I must say I was underwhelmed. The pics made them look so much better & the quality leaves much to be desired especially for what these are going for.

I like the glow on the 2 more. The 1 is better overall IMO.

 

I don't even care that their Kanye's shoes.  They could be called the Air Doo Doo and I'd still cop them .  I can see why you're so outraged at the prices, because you think they're ugly so there's no way you'd spend $ on em. That is interesting though that some people are buying it because it's by a music artist. Nevertheless, he is a fashion infused individual with some creative tastes so, in a sense, and people are purchasing his artwork, not just some "sneakers."  He did design and market them! Although he may not have accomplished major feats in them, e.g. Jordan 3 88' Dunk Contest, he created it, which is a remarkable feat in itself.  He perfected and capitalized on an art that was tarnished by every other "music artist" that went that path, e.g. 50 Cent, even his boy camel, Jay Z, who all failed with their sneaker venture. You're entitled to think they're wack, but you got to recognize that it's a work of art by a fashion icon, to some people, not just another pair of sneakers. It's like people buying a exclusive item from their favorite designer.

I'm not saying I hate them or even dislike them, they just don't look as nice to me in person. I guess from all the hype/hysteria I was expecting something really high quality.
