here's my set up:





  • two pioneer cdj-800mk2's cd turntables
  • a pioneer djm-400 mixer
  • serato scratch live
  • alienware M17x maxed out with all the options. intel core 2 extreme quad core processor with (12MB cache and 1066MHz fsb), dual nvidia geforce GTX 280Mm graphics card with 2GB of memory, 8GB of dual channel ddr3 1333 MHz memory.

on friday's it's top 40 (lady gaga, britney, florida, pitbull etc.)
saturdays

trance, house, dance, progressive trance (too many to name)

i produce tracks and 2010 is gonna be my year, i think

are there any other dj's on nt? what's you set up?
 
I guess I got out the DJ game in 2003, when I was a freshman in college. I started in about 1997. I've only used 2 Technics and vinyl. I couldnt reallyafford the switch to cds or serato. Is there a big difference between mixing cds and vinyl?
 
i always wanted a vinyl set-up for the crib, can someone make any recommendations on a good setup for about 500 - 600 bucks

stantons they're a cheap solution for beginners, but why vinyl? it's such a huge investment to buy albums, i use SL and if i need hard to find albumsi use itunes. everything is going fully digital, if you're under 30 and you use vinyl...FAIL.
