OFFICIAL NT ESSENTIALS: Nasir Jones (Upadated)

As some of you may have known, we're trying to bring the NT Essentials back. Depending on how well this works, we're trying to pretty much mirror whatwe did in the past. A monthly essentials list of 20 or so songs of a significantly influential artist. Lets try and make this work yall. To get thingsstarted I'll throw some names out there. I'm trying to get an artist picked by the end of the week so we can move on to the actual song selectionprocess.

UPDATE

The masses (17 replies) have decided to go with Nas. Trying to speed this up, maybe we can't get this done before the new week begins.

First things first, how many tracks do guys want to see? The old ones used to be 12-15. I always felt that was kind of short. Personally I'd love to see20.

Next up, Illmatic. One could easily make a case for 8/9 of the tracks on the album but I think we should limit the number of selections from Illmatic to arelatively small number.

So what do you guys got?

I vote 20 tracks on the dot...I think that is logical, reasonable, makes the most sense, (you get my point by now), etc.

EDIT: BTW, I was never part of the previous NT Essentials...are we trying to make a cohesive flow to the "album" (i.e. track 1.-20.) or justselecting the # of tracks we settle on & they are just in a random order or are they ranked from "best" to "worst"? I think @ leasttrying to put them in a cohesive order would be DOPE!
