***Official Political Discussion Thread***

This finesse is so obvious.

Trump and Conservatives: This report totally clears the president, he did nothing wrong

Democrats/Liberals:Let us see the report so we can know the details

THIS radicalizes the majority of white Americans? I'm 100 percent not buying that.

Saying that it doesn't motivate black voters is also telling half the story. It doesn't motivate black voters because black people are skeptical of it even being a real possibility. We know the racist *** history of this country. Like Coates said, reparations more recently has been associated with stuff like the Chappelle skit. Not tangible and actual solutions for this.

However, the discussion shouldn't be tabled for the fear of "radicalizing white voters". That might be the biggest crock of **** I've ever heard.

1. Dude, Republican voters have been poisoning the minds of white voters against progressive policies by labeling them "reparations" for years, why do you think do that? for ****s and giggles?

they do i because they know it's politically toxic. they do it because it makes white voters see themselves as white, and makes them act against there own self intrest.

2. the poling question that had the biggest correlation to support for donald trump was "who faces more discrimination white people or black people in america" When you make white identity more salient in ANY political discussion it will end poorly for black people.

3. the polling on this is pretty clear, black voters are more moderate in general than white voters, and reperations when framed as a race neutral policy action is more popular with black voters than straight up reperations for black people.

ALSO

What value does this "discussion" have? The persuadable have been persuaded, and the unpersuaded elected Dolald trump has president. there many ways we can adress the concerns of black americans, that are actually possible and don't have all these negative externalizes. People have been reading way too much Ta-Nehasi Coate, politics isn't a glossy magazine article, there is practical tactical **** you have to consider.

It reads like the primary factor in the obstruction case was that they couldn't establish Trump's guilt of the underlying matter of the Russia investigation, which was key to the materiality and corrupt intent requirements.

Bill Clinton must be sitting at home shaking his head like "Oh word, that's how we judging obstruction now"

Makes Mueller not interviewing him really suspect

And Barr dismissing obstruction from jump before getting the AG gig. What a sham
