FBI is requesting an interview with the whistleblower. I think I might have an idea of what this could be about.
I think it was glossed over almost entirely but I recall that the IC Inspector General issued another criminal referral other than the one he co-signed with DNI Maguire and sent to DOJ.
ICIG Atkinson also issued a criminal referral about the matters in the whistleblower complaint to the FBI. We know that Barr quashed the criminal referrals from the CIA General Counsel and the one from Atkinson and DNI Maguire without even opening an investigation but no information came out about what the FBI did with Atkinson's referral, if anything.

This suggests the FBI did pursue Atkinson's criminal referral.
