***Official Political Discussion Thread***

The democrat controlled house has literally passed hundreds of bills to help people that the republican controlled senate refuses to even vote on. It's ok to be low information. It's better than pretending you're not and then getting corrected.
Democrat Mayors, City Councils, Prosecutors and in most instances Governors and they all want to defund the police.
These Democrat politicians are crazy as their cities descend into anarchy. There answer is to eliminate the police departments.

The only bright spot to this is, the people are watching this anarchy, and are seeing the response of the Democrats. Defund the Police as the crime explodes. These people are insane.

both Democrats and Republicans don't give 2 ****s bout the regular everyday ordinary people. If they did they would set aside their differences and give us the temporary help we need
There are 300 bills passed by the Democratic house sitting on McConnell's desk because he and the rest of Republicans are more focused on appointing judges that will make sure that you hang a cross above the door of your house, give bad cops unlimited murder passes, and manufacture election results.

There is only one party that has abandoned compromise.

Good grief

Poor forest management.

California is a one-party state. Democrats have supermajorities in both houses of the Legislature. Only seven of the state’s 53 congressional seats are held by Republicans. The result is that there is no credible check on a mostly coastal majority.

Huge global wealth in high-tech, finance, trade and academia poured into the coastal corridor, creating a new nobility with unprecedented riches. Unfortunately, the new aristocracy adopted mindsets antithetical to the general welfare of Californians living outside their coastal enclaves. The nobodies have struggled to buy high-priced gas, pay exorbitant power bills and deal with shoddy infrastructure — all of which resulted from the policies of the democratic party.

No mention of the fact that the GOP mismanaged the state worse when they had power

No mention of the fact California turned blue because of the GOP own racism toward Latinos

No mention of the fact one of the main issues with the state is that it can't tax properly, because of a stupid amendment the GOP pissed through

No mention of climate change making the wildfires worst. Something the Dems have pledged with the GOP to help address.

No mention that the biggest recipients of Federal Aid is red states.

Just low information hot taking and ****ery from you

Democrats have rejected Republican stimulus proposals too. Right?

Don't conflate bills that have been passed with "proposals" that Republicans themselves can't even come to a consensus on. They have no interest in governing to help the people, only time they can come to an agreement is when its time to produce tax cuts that will benefit the rich.

Who walked away from the negotiations today. They Dems or GOP?

How many counter offers have the GOP made for those 300 bills the House has sent them?

Don't think Google can save your this time Delk.

In a Tuesday afternoon tweet, Trump said Democrats were "not negotiating in good faith." He told Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to instead "focus full time" on confirming Trump's Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
"I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business," Trump tweeted.

This is a misrepresentation as Senate Republicans could not advance their bill because Democrats blocked it.

But don’t take my word for it:

Senate Democrats block $300 billion coronavirus stimulus package, leaving little hope for relief before November

So we are to take Trump's word for it?

Is that what you are implying here?

People struggling to make ends meet is strictly a California issue that was created by the Democratic Party?

Sure, you're playing semantics when the reality is that Republicans knew that it would be shot down. From your own article, per usual.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., introduced the measure Tuesday, its $300 billion total just a fraction of previous coronavirus bills that Democrats and Republicans spent weeks squabbling over. Republicans originally were backing a $1 trillion bill, while Democrats have fought for a sprawling package and passed a $3 trillion bill in the House in May.

Even at a time where passing a bill like this would likely help those casting ballots in less than a month, Republicans are quick to show that they actually don't care about the American people. Just about power.
