Man. I listened to the entire thing. And her coming to that point is just ridiculous .

All that does is provide shield, and further cast a larger tent for Tucker to spew his racist ideologies on the most popular show on television. With the biggest reach in media.

He is not using “race neutral language” however you slice it. It’s a dog whistle with a bullhorn. And telling if his audience doesn’t “get it”.

Truly, one of the boondocks best episodes. Hilarious and true. All the way thru. Spot on 100%

He doesn’t say “whites, let’s go kill brown people because the Jewish cabal that runs the country won’t stop the brown hordes.” He’s more like, “You see it, you see it every day. Things are getting worse, this country is changing and they say you better be happy about it. How much more of this can you take?”

But to your point, it doesn’t matter. Everybody, including and especially his supporters knows exactly what he means. So no one, who disagrees with him, should be shy about calling him a white supremacist who is at the very least soft peddling random acts of violence and at worse, peddles genocide.

Her logic is….Stop pointing out to white people that they’re listening to racists. It makes them more racists!

And when you understand her hand in hand relationship with Glenn Greenwald, and her constant pleas to work with white supremacist and her “class reduction” rhetoric….you know exactly what she’s doing.

On this same show, (horrible show with horrible people) she praised MTG for voicing concern for baby formulas.

A few hours later….MTG of course voted against the very thing Brie is giving her credit for.

Those news channels act like some imaginary 3rd party is going to come out of thin air and change the world.

Congratulations, you realized most politicians are full of **** and made a news channel on it.

She has been saying that Carlson says white supremacist things through an ostensibly race neutral lens, it causes liberals to overreach, and a neutral observer will think that liberals are being unfair to Carlson which further allows Carlson to push white supremacy, through an ostensibly race neutral lens and that turns this neutral observer towards Carlson and away from liberals and their arguments.
In other words, she described dog-whistling.

"he doesn't say n-----, he just talks about how your taxes are paying for anchor babies"

And she said Carlson is correct? wow.

Why would Republicans vote to take one of their talking points (Biden is causing pain at the gas station) away?

Why would Republicans vote to take one of their talking points (Biden is causing formula shortages) away?

Why would Republicans stop the pain if they're going to use it to win the midterms? They would rather rule over rubble than live among healthy, prosperous Americans.

TC is correct when he says that a more diverse electorate tends to benefit Democrats.

Now his interpretation is that this is sinister and that Democrats also want to remove white people.

Meanwhile, most on the broader left would say “good.” I want an electorate that renders white identity politics into a non viable political strategy. When that happens, politicians have to improve material conditions for people. At least when there isn’t voter suppression going on.

So what to make of changing demographics is key.

In the 2020 election, Democrats did lean on white men for votes but prior to that, especially between 2012 and 2016, plenty of Democrats and liberal pundits were talking about how great it was that the electorate was becoming less white and that a Republican like Mitt Romney could never win the Presidency going forward.

People like TC tend to tell lies that draw on some elements of truth. The lie is “great replacement” and “white genocide” and the patina of truth he puts on it is the “Coalition of the Ascendant” talk that was popular in the 2010’s.

sure, but this is a pipe dream. A minority of white people in this country is going to have us looking like South Africa more than anything.

I light of what has happened in recent years and continues to happen, the Demographics as Destiny take comes off as very naive.

It’d have to be amended to Demographics AND access to the ballot and no gerrymandering, and no malapportioned Senate and no filibuster and no federalist society are Destiny.

It’s been obvious forever, that declining birthrates amongst white people, interracial marriage and immigration was eventually going to change the demographic makeup of America as a white European majority country rexanglorum rexanglorum this really isn’t a new thing or a hidden truth. Embracing it, and making a better society for people should what it should be about.

But the whole great replacement thing isn’t new. It’s been here forever. It inspired hitler (1924 immigration act). It’s sinister.

Giving an iota of “thought” and trying to round about verify that ideology is flat out harmful and ridiculous. Like, what are we even doing here?

Of course, this country is based on white supremacy and fears of whites being replaced, ran off, or even just specter of other whites making common cause with black and indigenous people has haunted white settlers in what would become the US since the 17th century.

What is new or at least is new, post reconstruction, is a major political party widely and openly embracing a less white electorate. And BTW, we should embrace it and talk up the benefits of that. I am not saying that TC’s racist viewers are justified in being racist because liberal pundits talked glowingly about changing demographics back in 2013.

I’m just pointing of that the claim, that no one is talking about changing demographics, is not accurate. Some people have and continue to talk about changing demographics and if anything, we should talk about it more and we should talk about how to bring about genuinely Democratic institutions that will reflect the will of a more diverse electorate.

exactly, I was thinking of that. what gave rise to Nazism was to instill the ideology and paranoia that other races are there to take what is "rightfully theirs". it is scary to instill such ideas to a society that part of it's population is still doesn't want to co-exist with other demographics. besides, it wasn't that long ago that MLK got assassinated. so it's not like that the U.S. totally changed after that. I mean, part of the population voted for a racist bigot as president.

The percentage of people overlooked during the 2020 census was much higher for some minority groups, with the Asian population being an exception, the Census Bureau said in a report that measured how well the once-a-decade head count tallied every U.S. resident and whether certain populations were undercounted or overrepresented in the count. Overcounts take place, for example, if someone owns a vacation home and is counted there as well as at a home address.

Marc Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, blamed political interference by the Trump administration, which tried unsuccessfully to add a citizenship question to the census form and cut field operations short.

“These numbers are devastating. Once again, we see an overcount of white Americans and an undercount of Black and Hispanic Americans,” Morial said on a call with reporters. “I want to express in the strongest possible terms our outrage.”

The Black population in the 2020 census had a net undercount of 3.3%, while it was almost 5% for Hispanics and 5.6% for American Indians and Native Alaskans living on reservations. The non-Hispanic white population had a net overcount of 1.6%, and Asians had a net overcount of 2.6%, according to one of the reports.

In the 2010 census, by comparison, the Black population had a net undercount of more than 2%, while it was 1.5% for the Hispanic population. There was almost a 4.9% undercount for American Indian and Alaskan Natives living on reservations, and it was 0.08% for Asians. The non-Hispanic white population had a net overcount of 0.8%.

The 2020 census missed 0.24% of the entire U.S. population, a rate that wasn’t statistically significant, while it missed 0.01% in the 2010 census.
