Good luck to the Raptors this season. Bosh is one of my favorite players in the league. I wish you guys luck.

I liked Kapono's fade away in the 4th. And Delfino had a nice pass on that play too.
That's my word

In an attempt to discourage people from mistaking these season/news threads from game threads, I'll be editing out game info from titles of season/news threads for a little while, until everyone is clear on the difference between season threads and game threads. Stuff like, "12/6 vs. LAL" (for example) only makes people wonder if this is the season-long thread or the game thread.

Additionally, we would PREFER people indicate something like "'07-'08 Season Thread" or "Raptors News" in the titles, but that's not a demand or rule or anything.

The point is to just make it clear where the game discussion is and where the season-long discussion is, and not blur the line between the two in the process.

I love this team, im all about the nugs, but the raptors have a quality that most other teams dont have.... they actually play like one ( a team that is).........one of their biggest advantages is the fact that they have two legitimate point guards (yah t.j is annoying to watch sometimes but he can make it happen)......im worried about bosh's knee though as the season progresses and of course
the italian wonder bargnani is too legit... i got the raps taking the atlantic i dont give a @#%$ what anyone says.
TEAM DENVER NUGGETS

Thx PrinSe3. Not many people think that the raps can take care of the Atlantic. But the thing is, they have 12 guys that can produce just as much as the guy beside him. Its something that is a rarety in the NBA these days. New Jersey looks to have the most complete TEAM in the Atlantic aside from the Raps, where as we all know the C's are built off the big three. Not many people realize that its a team game, which is what the raps excel at. When they move the ball effectively like they can, they win games.

Update for Raps/Team Canada fans. In game commentary (its not about the game SKA

), jamal Magloire will not play for Canada in the olympics/qualifiers. I think its garbage. He has not had any success since his all star appearance, and Canada basketball could do some things for him that would extremely improve him. I :smh:

CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

This team is just too amazing / unselfish / deep, it's such a joy to watch some good quality basketball.

CHEA!

man, nobody realizes how good depth is to a team. Depth is the reason why we are going to win many games this year. Unselfishness, playing like a team, thats what basketball is about. Good win tonight by the raps.

What did you guys think of how Smitch handled the roster movement? Personally I think he should let Bosh play more early, get Bosh more involved. Im not liking the fact that early in the game we stop and shoot, where we could try and work it inside, and then start shooting from the outside. But, thats just my opinion.

Good win tonight, Boston on Sunday :pimp:

off with the inside game. the ball should go to bosh/bargnani/whoever in the post first. once the other team starts to adapt and collapse, then we can swing the ball around and kick it out.

but so far the raps have been doing a good job with moving the ball and getting good looks. im not going to complain about that. one thing i will complain about is the late game meltdowns, honestly, what happen we were up 20 and then up 2 pts coming close to the last 4 minutes in the 4th quarter against the sixers. raps gotta work on that. but lets keep up the good work

at him. Self centered person.
Nah, that's exactly why I like season threads. See, if all we had were game threads, then you would either have to mention that in a game thread (and it really has nothing to do with the game), or you would have to make a new thread to mention it. Then we'd have endless threads about all the non-game related news for each and every team. But if we have season long threads, even if we had one for each and every team in the NBA, the MOST we would have would be 30. But if we had only game threads as they happened and news threads as they happened, we'd have threads for every single news item that you guys wanted to talk about, like Magloire's decision. That really doesn't NEED to be a separate thread, and now with a Raptors Thread, it doesn't have to be a separate thread.

ch-ch-cheaa. havent posted here in a swift minute, but i had to check in. i live in new york so i don't get to check out my team that much on tv (i need me some online stream). is it just me, or does the team look much more fluid with calderon out there on the floor? i really think that TJ would be great getting his 25-30 mins off the bench instead of starting. also, deflino! wow i did not know the kind of range this kid has on his J

^ Yeah alot of people feel that way.

In my opinion, if its not broken then don't fix it. TJ put up 14 and 12 in the first game. He has better potential to go off for bigger numbers than Calderon. Jose is solid, and I really don't think he minds coming off the bench because he can chew up any other back up point guard in the league (other than Barbosa prob).

We have the luxury of having a caliber point guard coming off the bench when our starting PG is having an off night. A lot of teams don't even have one solid point guard.
