No, hyperfuse just looks cheap to me.  they prolly shooting for lightness though.  i don't pass judgements based on silhouettes, so i'll to wait to see the pix

 

These threads go the same way. It doesnt even matter how they look after the V1s last year, which are some of the worst looking shoes ever. But they get a backing and a following on one limited colorway and its instant success for them. I hope the designers dont take too much time working on these. Whether its lebron or kobes sig shoes, ANYTHING SELLS.

 

As bad as the Lebron's are you have to admit, Wally that this years Kobes are cheap looking garbage.  If LA gear came out with the kobes in 1990 people wouldn't have touched them.  They look like a children's novelty shoe. 

 

Not mad. maybe jealous or envious. I can just look past a lot of stuff and see it for what it truly is.
Make everything else around the Lebron and Kobe lines so MEDIOCRE, that these two shoes with decent technology stand out above the rest. You got a kobe shoe with a midsole foundation of that of a 1997-1998 zoom air shoe. Yet has the hype of something other worldly.

A couple years back, a bball shoe with dual zoom would be no big deal. It would be the norm. But now that they've rationed out the usage of zoom and even more so with dual zoom, what once WASN'T rare a decade ago, is seen today as unique and top of the line.

The same can be said about air180 and zoom air in the V3 lebron 8 setup. For today's shoe, what an awesome moment.. Realizing it had been done similarly a decade back and Nike has been holding out to make this current appearance seem that much better, really gives us all a true reality check.

I just say no matter how they look as long as they are 1/2 step ahead of other Nike shoes, people will buy them up. Maybe that's why I don't have the optimism some of yall have. I'll let you all like what you like. I realize its a losing battle on my end but just had to get my 2 cents in there.

Nike really hasnt TRIED anything truly innovative cushioning wise since Shox.  

The setup in the V3 and Lebron 9 is supposed to be different than the standard Zoom/Air max setup.....Supposedly its like half of the 360 BB air bag plus forefoot Zoom it also has a CF midfoot shank.

I dont know how many shoes had the shank too?


But I feel you Nike cornered the market in 1990s and now they can pretty much bask in it until another company challenges them.


  

 

^I think adidas pure motion technology has taken the shoe competition by storm. But almost all the cushioning systems pale in comparison to zoom air

I hope they official, since the 7s they've been on a winning streak.

that's the problem it's adidas, i have never or never will own a pair of adidas.  i just can't do it.  the closest i've ever came to owning a pair of adidas was running shoes, climacools i think, but in the end i just couldn't pull the trigger.  i mean it's adidas 

 

Looks like they blacked out the V3's. Hopefully the silhoette is a little more creative than that.

Instead of having a design that looks like a retooled VII or VIII (which I like), they should start from scratch.

I Jus Dont See These Being Better Than The 7s Or 8s... It Took A While For The 8s To Grow On Me... The Only Thing That Was Catching My Attention Was The Use Of The Full Air Unit Through Out The Shoe...

last time i checked a full air max was more expensive than a 180 air max..(my point is that if the full air max is more expensive..that means it is nicer)

unless the 180 is better for performance then i dont see why other nike basketball shoes are going with a full 360 air max then? 

also, someone find me a shoe that has a 180 air max that is 165..or at least more expensive than a 360 AM shoe

To be honest the lebron line hasn't let me down in a while. I love the 7s and i love the 8 V2 (just wanted more colorways)

I trust the design team to come up with something nice. Hopefully they keep they hyperfuse to a minimum because i agree that it makes the shoe look cheap.

guys even if they are on ID, think about it, Lebron 7's and 8's had alot of unlreased heat, what makes you think Lebron and his camp just gonna let us go

crazy on ID's. Look at the Soldier 4's on Nike ID, disrespectful ehhhh... remember what Lebron and his camp wants, they wanna keep alot of the PE's in house and not to

very true with this statement.  anyway, they are hyperfuse...so for me...i am out.  they already broke my enthusiasm with the 7 and 8.  after the 6, i thought we would get the hwc's and svsm's, but we didn't and those were 2 of my absolute favorites of the 7.  for me, it's been downhill since the lebron 6.  i loved all of the colorways that dropped with the 6.  i was hoping for more of the same of the 7 and 8 but it wasn't meant to be.  oh well.  unless there is another version without hyperfuse, i will already be done with the 9.
