The fact that every buzz single he puts out is on some 03 NYC tip that isn't A. Universal B. just isn't good. 50's whole "street" imagedoesn't even really fit anymore. Audiences see past that anyways. Gangsta rap kinda died out. Name one major artist who is talkin like 50 anymore... NotJeezy (hes on that whole swag/current rap tip right now anyways...). Dudes are seeing music differently in this day and age. 50 is focused on making HITSinstead of good music. Ross could be doing the same but his MUSIC formula equates to hits (and damn good album cuts) whereas of late, 50 has just been lookingfor that "sound." If it wasn't for the money hes got to keep trying singles, labels would have stopped messing with him a long time ago...Hes notgetting it "right"

One...ya'll are comparing sales in two TOOOOOTALY different eras of music and sales. EVERYONE's sales are declining...unless your name is Lil Wayne tocompare their album sales is irrelevant in today's state of the game.
Two...Ya'll read Forbes? 50 Cent is bigger than a "rapper". Dude has his hands in a boat load of +#+% that's keeping him rich. Ja Rule NEVERmade it that level of business. So as much as everyone wants him to...he can never just fade away completely like a Ja Rule. He's too much of a global iconfor that. If someone is going to even get close to making him disappear...Rick Ross is DEFINITELY not the one to do it. There's no machine behind him.There was a machine behind 50 when he came in and made Ja irrelevant. That Aftermath/Interscope movement was strong. Who's backing Rick Ross in thissituation? DJ Khaled. Huge difference.
I don't think there's ANY instance 50 wishes he was Ross. Even if he was making the same level of music...wouldn't mean +#+% for record sales.
