OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET AND ECONOMY THREAD VOL. A NEW CHAPTER

Thoughts on yelp? Thinkng of following my Pandora play with a short here

I'm avoiding earnings. Long-run, I think it goes lower because I can't see much more growth with its current model. Who knows about the quarter though. I think bulls who have been sitting on the sidelines since its downfall will looking for a reason to buy back in.

I am playing COH 28P though. People don't buy Coach anymore do they?

People really down on AAPL for 6S sales :\
I know like 7 people who upgraded plus myself. Not buying a down quarter.

Yea, I'm expecting another one of those "BEST SELLING iPHONE EVER" tag lines in its earnings, but I guess the question is if it meets or beats analysts estimates.

GRUB got smoked today on earnings.

Looks like WBA is finally going to buy RAD. ******* RAD man. I used to play the UOA all the time hoping for the buyout and they failed every time. They bought Nov $7's a week or two ago for .13 damn you RAD

Not surprised. I know of no one who uses these types of services.

Oh and apparently people still do buy Coach :frown: :frown: :frown:

these companies rely heavily on independent contracts that they pay peanuts. their turnover is huge. most of the time you cant even get service
yelp gonna be below 20 soon :x

Didn't save a bullet for AAPL's earnings unless I do something like a 123/125/127 call fly for .10. Could only do a 1 lot. Sort of worth it, sort of pointless. Could turn $20 (after commissions) into $190 if I'm right. May just sit this one out. Would've preferred 122/125/128 for .25 or .30 but don't have the power free for today.

Edit: nvmd just saw above

I'm kind of pissed analysts only care about forecasts now; AAPL beat every expectation, and barely a tick in stock price. These holiday expectations set by analysts are usually so on point, that there's no winning anymore.

Wow, I bought 1'000 shares of RAD on a rec from my pops about a week ago. Def paid off. Going to hold off on selling, if Walgreens buys them, I could end up with quite a profit for a few days "work"

Twitter needs to better monetize aspects of their platform which Jack should be able to implement. Id give it two more quarters since he just officially took the reigns

Any thoughts on this reversal we've seen in the past few days? Correction done or we being set up with the okie dokie?

...

So short it... I've been riding this way since $66, and let me tell you, it's good.

same.... :pimp: :pimp: :pimp: up 95% on my $NKE stake...

about to be heavy in this thread and want to learn more about options but would anybody be interested in creating a Facebook group so we can be more interactive....?

Just curious...
