Depending on the tournament, some commentating setups have a pretty intensive lighting setup. I’ve never went the sunglasses route when I commentated but I could see it helping you focus on the gameplay going on.
These tourney didn’t even have sponsors on the backdrop so he’s probably wearing the sunglasses just to look cool
