I hear you, but there was a huge debate about this some months back. And the general consensus was that people preferred team threads.
Most "official" threads don't even last. And believe it or not, there aren't as many as you may think. Look at the NBA. Thirty teams. But last year, only the Lakers, Warriors, Rockets, Nuggets, Raptors, Suns, Cavs, Knicks and Bulls had threads that went through the entire season. And a lot of them kept dropping to like the 3rd page.
I like team threads. Keeps everything (info, schedule, discussion) in one tidy place.
