What I want to see today vs Holland.

    --------------------Altidore-------------Findley-------------------
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Beasley-----Edu-----------Bradley---------------Donovan-------
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Bornstein------Bocanegra----------Demerit--------Spector------
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    -----------------------------Howard-----------------------------

I want to see Torres, Johnson and Holden get some PT during this game. Sub out Beasley, Findley and Edu respectively. Very interested to see how Findley does with the main squad although I'm sure EJ is probably gonna end up starting I want to see how his youth and speed helps us.

    What youre going to see:

    -------------Findley------------Altidore--------

    --Donovan-----Torres-------Bradley-------Holden--

    --Bornstein----Bocanegra----DeMerit-------Spector--

    -----------------------Howard-------------------------

I'm pumped Torres is getting his chance! Hope he makes the best of it! Don't know about Findley getting the start again, but to be fair he was playing with a bunch of bums last week against Honduras so this is probably has last legitimate chance. Hope he shows me something. USA! USA! USA!

Hopefully Findley shows a spark today, like Charlie did.

But we need to perform today, this is a good test for England.

Findley looking like a bum so far. Losing the ball everytime he gets it.

Heath Pearce played really well against El Salvador, id rather have him playing at left back than Bornstein..i swear at least once or twice a game Jonathan has a lapse in judgment or focus and exposes them at the back...Sneijder would've had a tight angle to shoot from, theres no reason to commit that foul...hopefully Edu gets some action in the second half

and i hope theres nothing serious with Holden, he just started seeing minutes for Bolton..would really be a shame if he missed some time

that was a sick meg Altidore put on [IMG]

Beasley is definitely the frailest player ever..any type of contact and he flops like Manu

one game doesnt make Pearce mr. consistent. he has definitely had issues with mistakes, even for FC Dallas against MLS teams that aren't nearly the quality of the national teams we will be facing.
    GOAL! good stuff Bocanegra.

^i guess i havent seen him play in the MLS too much really...but when ive seen him with the national team he seems to play well, he gives them something going forward down the left side

one thing you can say about Bornstein is that you can see improvement from him every game since the el salvador game in salt lake.

Findley looked inexperienced out there, everytime he got the ball he didnt know what to do with it and stood still.

    Demerit [IMG]

JR might be our most under appreciated player, I like the way he plays.

    Hopefully nothings wrong with Stu.

Agre wit pretty much everything.  Findley's not ready and let's hope CD is gonna be set to go soon.

Bornstein plays solid most games lately, but there's always one play a game that he makes that makes you question his quick decision making.

Overall, though, I saw some good things out there.

I just watched it...how was that not a red card? Hopefully he's okay bc that looked pretty bad.
I not too disappointed, the goals allowed were just unfortunate especially the second. Im happy the US got one in though. I thought Jozy's strike was going in..

Here's what I took from the game.

Mo Edu should obviously be starting. Torres tended to disappear. Bornstein's a bum, glad he won't be starting.

I wish Bedoya would've gotten more touches, I like his game.

Jay DeMerit was a rock at the back like always. Beas played very well, looked very good on the left side. We really missed Demps composure and poise in the midfield.

thats what i was trying to say..Bornstein can be really good at times but then he just has a momentary lapse at the back and makes a bad tackle or foul that ends up hurting the team...against a team like the Netherlands, they're going to have the majority of possession no matter who they play..the US did a good job of not giving them any real scoring chances up until that penalty..there was no need to spin Sneijder down right there, but it was so obvious when he did it...if he figures that out, he would have left back locked up...until then Bob is going to give players like Pearce a shot

I feel what you're saying but, improving every game doesn't mean much now. Bornstein cost us a goal in qualifying when he cleared the ball over his head over his own box [IMG]

He's constantly on his back foot, he has no countering ability at all. I just don't think he's good enough to play at this level.

Yesterday he cost us a PK right before half, and damn near another PK b/c of a handball in the box.

Carlos, DeMerit, Gooch, Spector............Pearce = sub
