Well, my Ipod, I believe has finally tuned its last Jigga verse.

I tried tech support and the Apple store twice to no avail.
The problem is that it doesn't get recognized by the computer. Even when that happens, rarely, I can't do anything because it gives me a messageinvolving the word "corrupted."

Oh yea, all my songs were deleted at the store too.

BTW, its a 3rd gen. Ipod. And apparently, it was bought in 2003, according to the date I got from the service rep. Is there anyway I can send this back toApple, or a retailer and get a discount on a new Ipod?

I only want the 80gb Classic because it seems like a major upgrade compared to my 20gb, which cost the same back then too. Also, it holds much more than thefugazi Touch, a rip off IMO.

i doubt it..its way too old... btw i hope apple makes a 80 gig itouch

Replace the Hard Drive and restore the ipod firmware? might be worth it.

If not:

"customers can bring iPods they no longer want to any of Apple's 100 retail stores in the US for free environmentally friendly disposal, and those whodrop off an iPod, iPod mini or iPod photo will receive a 10 percent discount on the purchase of a new iPod that day."

10% ain't much though.

Would I be able to trade in a video 30 gb ipod for a newer one? I bought in June and it freezes up on me all the time and I keep having to reset it.
Would I get a new older video 30gb or would i be able to get a new iPod classic?

yo you lookin for a classic i have a new one for retail shipped and its 80 gb pm me

I'm trying to pay less than retail homie, duuhhh.......

lol

yes you can, i work at an apple store in maryland. go to any apple store and bring your ipod, they will recycle it and you will get 10% off a new ipod.

Its just too old, and if they did deiced to replace it, they would give you a 20gb iPod color.

Yeah I went with the 80gb Classic and I'm really happy with it.

and I don't think I can use the site, my Ipod doesn't work with my computer.

Hmmm, I just realized, it got picked up by the Mac in the store, but not my PC. I'm gonna try and see if another Mac will recognize it. If so, I'll goto the buyback site which estimated $51 for my joint (in working condition).
