OZARK [A Netflix Original Series | Season 3 | 2019??]

was he the guy they showed in that one scene standing next to the lawyer i think she was on the phone w marty?

Yep. They never said a name or Navarro. Or at least I don’t recall
The name of the cartel is the Navarro cartel.

Been mentioned a handful of times. Definitely twice when Marty comes with the jab it being the 2nd biggest cartel.

I would assume since its called the Navarro cartel a member of the Navarro family is the leader but that doesn't have to be the case.

Plus the Navarro cartel is a real life cartel anyway.

After a quick search the guy's name is Omar Navarro.

some of the plot points were really predictable this season

season def had more action than last season but they were stringing alotta **** together

I’m gonna have to rewatch season 2 cause it was a lotta commotion

petty was so annoying...

rachel randomly being a addict was weird from s1 to s2

I actually thought he woulda been hitting that in s1

Yeah I been expected Marty to be hitting that.

I didn't think she was an addict but I knew something was off when she stole all that money and dipped for no reason.

No side Ws for Marty. A few kisses ain't nothing.

I finished today and i enjoyed it. I feel like they were tossing money around left n right to this n that like it was just there's to spend.

A lot of folks got cartel money on their hands, and theres a lot of parties involved in this casino.

Im glad they killed off Petty & Cade .. Jacob tho :smh:

I wouldve let Charlotte disrespectful as walk soon as that lawyer showed up with papers. If she doesnt leave with Wyatt in S3 he gonna snitch on them since she basucally told him everything in the van after stealing that book

Marty got soft af after shooting Mason

Wendy should have just had the lawyer off Darlene along with Cade, and get the baby back
Can’t kill off Darlene just yet, the casino still on their land and they’re trying to avoid additional scrutiny.

Next season Darlene can go tho. Will be interesting to see how they play this mob thing up. That bomb at the end of this season clearly would be an act of war.

I would’ve let Charlotte go too but I’d force her to leave the Ozarks.

I too was really disappointed in Cade, they really played his villainy up in the first season. Dude wasn’t really ****, I’m almost surprised they didn’t have Ruth kill him and go full heel.

Darlene can't go bcs they need a "local" owner tied to the Casino. That was a big reason why they got the gaming license. The commissioner told them they wouldn't give a license to outsiders so it will be interesting to see how she's dealt with next season.

Overall, S2 was above average for me. My problem with S2 was there was just too many problems that popped for the Byrdes. Literally every ep a new issue popped up... Marty was the literal Dutch boy with the damn. Every time a new leak popped, Marty had to put a finger on it.

:emoji_fist::emoji_raised_hands: Buddy!

Charlotte was the definition of white privilege. I was hoping she'd get a weight tied to her ankle & dropped off into the lake. Her stealing that book & then throwing it out the window perfectly encapsulated her character.

Cool to see the growth of Ruth. The actress that plays her deserves an Emmy. She should be the hands down winner in her category.

Crazy that Helen is the super powered mother from season 2 of Jessica Jones.

I’m pulling for Wyatt... His convos with his rat fink dad were kinda heartbreaking & when they played the Nirvana version of the Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World it was sad.

 Buddy was the rat cop Mel in Scarface years ago. He’s been in a lot of movies & TV shows. Dude brought so much gravitas to the role. “Every dog has its day”...

I was  when he asked the KC mob boss how his wife was. I actually laughed out loud.

I'm 2 or 3 episodes in since last week. Been busy but need to continue to watch.

By the time the gaming commission approved the casino it didn't matter if a local owner was still around.

Remember Marty came up with the solve that when Jacob flooded that part of the land or w/e that ceded the rights to the land to the gov.

Darlene definitely could've got killed in the s2 finale but gotta hold her over as a loose thread I guess.

It's been bothering me I've seen Bruce in a bunch of places before

The daughter is wild annoying and honestly this show is what's wrong with the media in America. White family doing things only afluent white ppl do in ways that only white ppl do them.
Spoke on it myself.

The convience of this is pretty insane. Still like the show but these white ppl catch breaks like no other and the dumb luck is wild.

Yeah, the character switches were kinda annoying. Like outta nowhere the priest becomes a psycho, not shocking given his circumstances, but the writing wasn't strong enough to support it.

Also, what's to stop the cartel from killing the agent? He was mad flagrant for no reason.

I like the idea of the black FBI agent getting more shine next season....

Daughter switch was annoying as well, all of a sudden you go from thot on a yacht to kicking it in trailer parks and wanting to live alone? Wha?

Lil homey is the man, creating offshore accounts like Any Duphrane out here.

RIP ol skinny dipper. He will be missed.

Really don't care about hte KC mob, but oh well, we shall see.

Marty & Helen meeting Jake at the diner & was about them moving ahead with the construction & basically boxing them in while everything gets built. Had nothing to do about not needing the Snells anymore. Like liquor licenses, if anything about the ownership changes, the license would be up for review again & can be revoked. You can't just willy nilly change ownership of the license. It's essentially illegal. Also if it didn't matter about local ownership being tied to the license, Helen would've offed the Snells ASAP & not worried about anything but she promised Jake no violence if he kept Darlene in line.

BTW, if it weren't for the acting, this show would be absolute crap. It should be interesting to see Wendy complete the heel turn next season & become the Queen of the Ozarks. Cade's murder is interesting because Wendy was willing to kill him where Marty was not.

More recently, the actor that played Jacob was also the broker on the show quarry. Which was a good show as well, but never got any traction.

Disagree, plus isn't that the case for any show? How could you say a show would still be good with crappy acting?
I think you may have misunderstood me. I'm saying the acting has been stellar (across the board). If it wasn't, this show would not be the least bit believable & generally a really bad show.

For example, IMO Shooter on the USA network could be good but the acting is very soap operaish. It's like they read a how to act manuel from Kiefer Sutherland from 24.

Nurse Jackie would've been a crap show had it not been for Edie Falco.

That priest was a psycho from the jump. There was no switch.

I didn't say anything about changing ownership as far the land goes.

Just kill Darlene. If the owners die, they die. Won't change a damn thing since the casino is already underway.

The Snells already gave it away anyway.

If things go under review again at that point Wilkes will just push it through or Marty will bribe them. After the ceremony, nothing is stopping that train now.

The new issue is construction.

I feel Darlene is only alive to deal with the drama of the baby. Its made more than clear that Marty and the cartel would've risked killing the Snells just so they wouldn't be a problem.

A little confused about the ending.
The real reason why Wendy told Marty they need to stay is because of the favor to kill Cade? Or was there something else Wendy and Hellen talked about? Reason why I'm confused is when Hellen warned Wendy that whatever she tells her she cannot take back. If Wendy wanted Cade dead all she would have to do is just say Cade took off with your money and the cartel would do what the cartel does. They're convo sounds like she sold her info for the favor of killing Cade.

Never mind. Thinking about it now I misinterpreted their interaction.

I'm not talking about the land. I'm talking about the gaming license. If 2 of the names on the license were to die (Jake & Darlene), in the real world it would be up for review again & if the commissioner strongly felt about not giving outsiders a gaming license, it would be revoked.

That part isn't going to happen. They're corrupt. Easily bribed.

Plus given they don't own ****, I could see Marty getting her name removed from the license anyway.

Wendy just wanted to stay cuz she began to enjoy her situation. She felt she/they were in a bit more control and are basically running things in the Ozarks.

The ep where Mason kidnapped her and they argued about faith and he was ****ting on her as a person with his pompous attitude she sort of went under a transformation attitude wise. By the end, she's fine with Mason dying, telling Marty to shoot, having no remorse about Mason's death, etc. She was on this path back when she gave her son the ok to kill the cartel dude watching them.
