I was JUST coming to NT to post something similar. This female friend of mine has a tendency to do stuff like this all the time:

her: [Insert rant about life, family, school, roommates, friends]
me: Whats wrong?

her: [Insert reason for rant mention in line 1] I'm about to go [study, running, get ready for work, to work, eat, etc], how have you been?
me: Pretty good for the most part.
her: That's good, anyway I'm gonna go [pick activity from line 3] now, we have to catch up. i'll ttyl bye!
me:

She makes it seem like we are walking around and happen to bump into each other on the street. This annoys the hell out of me. Always complaining aboutsomething, mentions we haven't talked in a while then leaves.

I have a friend that does this $#$%. He hits me out of the blue and just asks me what I'm up to and thats the convo. He leaves and comes back and asks thesame $#$%.
