It's funny that someone brought this up. I was just watching a documentary and they mentioned that planners never got to complete the highway system they originally intended to build. I believe the residents in the building sites didn't want their house/neighborhood torn down.

What about the law of eminent domain? The sites need to be for public use. It's just going to get worse every year. I really want to live down there lol, but that dam traffic.

I agree, the residents would've been compensated fairly. It was back when they were first working on the highways system around the 50s.
