services.inquirer.net/pri...e_id=91917BNP Paribas expects the local currency to finally catch up with the Thai baht, which is seen to end this year at 31.50 and then marginally rise to 30.50 by next year and settle at 30:$1 by end-2009. :D

Yeah, that's why it is better to buy from the U.S. using your credit card or something as the retail prices in the U.S. are cheaper than in the Philippines and the exchange rate is favorable to the peso right now.

-add Jordan's #s on it, or MJ, J, Jay, etc.
-add "sole" in place of "so" or "soul"
-add "air" in it

i wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to 42. the philippines ranks 4th among nations earning huge remittances from their workers. during the months of december and january, the peso fares pretty well against the US dollar, due to ofws sending money for christmas and the new year.

*OT* does anyone know whatever happened to malu fernandez (people asia magazine), after that very insulting article she wrote? it was a big issue here in the bay area.

i find it ironic that while OFW's are sending their hard earned dollars back home to support their families they actually "hurt" themselves by driving the peso up at the same time.

the peso was up to like 42.6 against the dollar..

then another bombing happened. hmm.. i wonder who benefits from stuff like this.

real terrorists would claim responsibility.. or is it the people in the news, whose scandals get pushed to page 3 or 4 of the paper by the bombings..

Well, I can only hope that with this Nike Phils will correct its pricing because it is unreasonably above the north america retail

man... whenever the country is starting to do well... catastrophes happen... oh well...
