I know this is a deep cut, but the 1986-1989 line of Reebok basketball highs are probably my all-time sentimental favorite sneakers ever. Recently, two makeups ended up on eBay -- a BB4600 and a BB5600 -- each with a hook and loop (VELCRO?) strap. I've never seen this before. Does anyone remember them, or know when they might've been sold and for how long? Did the BB5000, BB5900 and BB6600 also have strap options? There's no record of this anywhere that I can find.

I've got what appears to be a brand new pair. I haven't been able to find any info on em either. The toebox has a bit different shape, and there's no branding in the straps. There is, however, branding on the heel.

Wow. Thanks for finding this thread and sharing photos! Do you know where they came from, or when? The outsole, thin nylon tongue and toe box perforations make them look like a BB4600 mashup with leftover parts from tennis shoes. Interesting, and weird.

/u/Kingsmore94 on Reddit recently shared a photo of their dad in 1987 wearing the BB5600 w/straps:

I have no idea where/when they are from. Picked them up at a Goodwill in a military town. The size tag inside doesn't have a model number—just says Made in Korea. I hadn't even noticed the toebox perforations were different. Very strange!
