I think the Democratic party's biggest issue that they're looking for a perfect candidate. I was at Kamala Harris' rally on Sunday and people were holding up signs saying that she should've prosecuted few specific people or she didn't do enough for black people, etc. Dems are looking for a person in their 50s or 60s whose never made a mistake in their lives. The Root was slamming Beto for voting for an anti-Black Lives Matter bill when in fact the bill was about the death penalty for people who kill cops in the line of duty.

You contrast that with republicans who don't care what their congresspeople do. Look at how they handled the Roy Moore situation. They literally acted like they hadn't heard of him. They don't care as long as they vote the way they want.
