Yeah I'll agree with that. And I give respect to wrestlers for their intense conditioning, but at my high school, wrestlers were, without a doubt, the worst human beings. They were the worst bullies, they treated girls horribly, and they even did awful things to each other. The stories of what went on in the locker room after wrestling practice were ridiculous.
A friend of mine (one of the few normal people on the wrestling team) had a theory that the crazy conditioning made them a little crazy. Maybe this is true, maybe it isn't. It didn't apply to ALL of them, but it was a majority, for sure. I never really got any flak from them because I learned early on (like, in middle school) to avoid them, and by the time high school rolled around I wasn't in any classes with any of the crazy ones.
i think it has to do with the amount of force they are constantly producing that leads to an increase in their testosterone levels. Exercises thatproduce a lot of force from within the core like Squats, deadlifts, power cleans, or just simply grappling with your own body weight (an opponent in yourweight class) often alters one's testosterone levels. My best friend's frat brother is a wrestler and wrestled in high school and he's one of themost disrespectful cats you will ever meet. He just got into some %+*! for assaulting a girl and came home (while drunk) sobbing and saying how he was gonnakill himself. He's known to abuse drugs and disrespect women and his homies. I'm 6'1 225 solid mass, and he's about 5'9-5'10 160. Iwrestled him and I got ownedIn a fight, I would more than likely knock dude out, butwrestling is a whooooooooole 'nother ball gameSo yea, I can def. vouch forwrestlers being a little bit of the deep end, but being great athletes at the same time. Word to The Narcissist, Lex Luger.

I also wrestled coming up in PAL leagues and school and it's the single most challenging sport that I have ever done. I couldn't imagine an average joe going up against your basic middle school district champion...but to face Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle
I can't wait to catch this episode.
i feel bad for the guys who box...i think i saw roy jones jr in the title credits...
trust... it got ugly for the joes on that show
Agreed 100%!
My state champ was 119 lbs. and he gave me all I wanted at my weight of 225. Sometimes the bigs (215, 275) would walk through his area of the mat and he wouldjust tear into them. Since he was also well-versed in Greco and freestyle he was a throwing machine. There is nothing more hilarious than seeing a5'5", 119 pounder nail a hip toss on a 6'2" 275 pounder!
I think it is incredibly unfair to ask a guy off the street to wrestle an Olympian or box a World Champion-caliber fighter. In doing so, the Joe is puttinghimself at risk for incredible physical injury due to A) their complete lack of knowledge of defense against those Pros and B) the overt aggresive nature ofwrestlers and boxers. In the previews, they also showed a guy getting head-kicked by Bob Sapp. No untrainedfighter should be squaring off with that guy. Also, they showed John Randall (best years with the Vikings; remember his Ultimate Warrior-style eye black?) coming from the DE postition on the Joe's blindside with no blocker in front of him while the Joe tries to complete a pass. Somebody is going to get killedon that show.
Joes vs Pros is the worst show ever, if I really wanted to watch a bunch of guys get dominated I'd watch some kind of weird porn.
Pros vs Joes is one of the few great shows on television nowadays.
