My ps3 broke and it wont read any disc. this happened to my friend to, he said there was a test i could run to diagnos the problem. is this true. if so help abrotha out where can i find this %#%.?

Happened to me...the Blu Ray drive is probably done....look on youtube for a video how to get to restore the drives and +@+% ...if that doens't work...yougotta send it in....$150 FTL

contact Sony, if it's not under warranty it's $149 for you to send it to them, they will confirm it's broken and send you a refurbished one alreadyon standby.

Messed up, but... Sony had this "disc read error" problem widespread with the PS2 after about 2-3 years of it coming off of the production line, andnow it's looking like the PS3 MIGHT be plagued with the same problem... $150 though damn man as if the damn hardware wasn't enough already...
Good luck to you though and I hope things work out for you...
Had this problem with my PS2, and then with the PSP and I didn't even use the PSP 15 times... yes no lie about the PSP...
