K, now how many times has he fumbled late in games? How many overthrown passes? How many dropped INT's, that lead to a 3 and out? The botched field goal snap he dropped. Balls snapped past his shoulder? Sacks he takes instead of getting the ball out? It's not JUST INT's that have cost him, and his team late. It's mistakes. Overall, general, mistakes. 8 years he's been back there, and still havin issues like those every year. Sometimes he wins the game, sometimes he costs them the game. He's exactly that, an average guy whose had a lot of weapons during his 8 years.
I'm going by what I see every time the Cowboys are in a win or go home situation. The dude chokes. Period. The Seattle game. The Eagles game in 08. The Skins game in 2011.
Thank you for proving my point. This scenario that you just typed up, happened all of ZERO times last year. But thank you for trying.
He choked against the broncos and lions if i recall correctly m.. played a great game then fs up at the end .. as jj watt said that broncos game is who romo is...
tony romo is a pretty good QB. clearly above average, but it has to mean something that when a game gets close, we're ALL waiting for him to make the mistake. cowboys fans can't even deny that
I'm a cowboys fan for life but can't defend romo... I see all cowboys games cuz ima fan... But him choking is expected already.. Its what he does when it matters... Like I said meaningless stats... I watch the games ....
I'm saying. These dudes act like he hasn't had some serious F ups. Like people are just making this up for no reason. Nobody is saying he's a bum. You just can't trust him in the clutch.
My wife's entire family is Cowboy family. They BEEN done with Romo, for years now. They all sit and wait for him to screw up. I've watched dozens of games with them, and seen them go thru it. Even when he does something great, they wait for the next thing that will balance it out.
The game was tied with 2:40 left so Cowboys being up by 7 with a minute to go and him not getting a 1st down is unpossible
that broncos game was the epitome of romo's career. can't argue it. outduels peyton manning (whose INT just happened to come with 10 seconds left in the 3rd quarter) up until he throws that pic late in 4th quarter. the game was tied and he was trying to drive down for points from deep in his own end. he played PHENOMENAL that game except for that INT. legit felt bad for the guy.
Well obviously there are tons of plays that lead up to a 'clutch' moment but when a player fails time after time in a big moment then it does feel like that player was the reason the loss occurred. How it is with QBs, too much credit, too much blame
