Question about cell phone plans

I wanna get a new phone because my old one is expiring. If I wanna get a new contract for tmobile or att, do I need a credit card/credit check? I don'thve a credit card and no one in my family will vouch for me.

Basically, do I need a credit card to get a new phone plan from T mobile or att?

My brother did. I wanna get an iPhone so I might need one, but I might just get an unlocked one and any old phone plan, think I need a credit card? I have adebit but no credit.

All you can really do is go to a store and apply for a new plan. If anything be prepared to pay a deposit just to even open the acct. Some companies will giveyour deposit back after a certain period but make sure you NEVER miss a payment or have one late because that will void the deal. Usually get the money after 6months to a year.

Depending on your credit the deposit could be as low as $50 with ATT, or I've had people pay up to $1000 with Verizon.
