can you use the term "lighting it up" for something other than scoring?....example... when a pg.. had like 17 assists.... i said.. he was lighting itup....

does this term apply to just scoring....friend and i got into an argument... and our consensus was to ask NT....so help settle the deabte

lighting it up refers to the scoreboard changing numbers quickly.

Lights = scoring. Another example....he shot the lights out. Correct above...lighting it up refers to scoreboard changing fast. It is like saying He's onfire, or he's in the zone...they all refer to scoring.
