If you have been around for a while then you would already know the rules.
1. ALL classified listings are moderated
2. You need HANDWRITTEN TAGS/DATES which you dont have on your listing.

ah my bad bigj

so just remake my post with the handwritten tags (My names) and dates on a paper with the kicks?

thanks
Yes

I posted a listing in the buy/sell forum and it gave me the BECAUSE YOU'RE NEW HERE message. I've been here for a while or is that normal for everyone posting a listing?

I wouldnt worry about the message.

bigj505, is there anyway we can change this rule?

"9. THREADS CAN NOT LAST LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS. Once your thread has passed 2 weeks you must create a thread with an updated tag if you still have items for sale. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please make it your responsibility to have your old thread locked before proceeding."

I understand why it's part of the rules, but it's hard to constantly take pics every 2 weeks. ISS and NSB allows you to use the same tagged/dated pics until it sells. I think it's better for sellers and the overall marketplace if we leave the listings alone, and leave it up to the customer's discretion to ask for updated pics when they're interested. There's also not a lot of traffic in the new NT marketplace right now : (

give it a little time for someone to check the forum and new listings.
we do this all voluntarily on our free time... it all depends what/when we have time to go through the forums.

never posted in the Misc. forum so sorry if this is a dumb question but, what's the policy on selling a Nike voucher?

^Not the best idea. If the buyer tries to use it and Nike refuses because they'll know the person using it isn't the person it was issued to, you will have to issue a refund.

Actually, you arent allowed to sell Vouchers in the Classified Section.
This is because Nike attaches personal information to the vouchers and if the buyer does not line up with who it was given to by Nike, Nike can, and most likely than not, will void the voucher. They are pretty serious about this and will call the user of the voucher with a bunch of questions.

So let me get this straight, I've been a member since 2004 with well over 1,000 posts (don't remember how many exactly) and now I have to wait three months and post up 300 times minimum to be able to post in the classifieds? Wtf kinda bs is that?

Also, I'm only allowed two total private messages a day? What the hell.....

POSTED AN AD AND WONDERING WHY ITS STILL NOT POSTED YET. MY POST COUNT IS LOW, BUT THATS BECAUSE OF THE SWITCH FROM YUKU.

what about nutritional supplements (Green coffee beans) and swords/daggers?

nutritional supplements
i would suggest against it since its a consumable and you run the risk of people filing complaints.

swords/daggers?
7. ILLEGAL ITEMS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. This includes, but is not limited to, counterfeit items, pirated or bootleg items, or ANY item whose sale is restricted by age or permit. As it is illegal to sell alcohol, cigarettes, pornography, etc. to minors, these items may NOT be sold through NikeTalk. Similarly, the sale of firearms, body armor, and other items restricted by the US government may NOT be sold through NikeTalk.

I agree wholeheartedly. I've always despised that 2 week rule. I don't even get why it exists at all. What users like that rule and think it's beneficial in any way? Really, all it does is waste everyone's time. We all have to keep making new threads every 2 weeks with new tagged pictures and it clutters up the classified boards.

It should be just like Sole Collector, where you can leave the listing there forever and keep bumping it. How is that so bad? I have absolutely no idea. If you eliminate this 2 week rule, Niketalk will gain A LOT more traffic/attention (like the "old days"). But now, well, there's no wonder that Sole Collector seems to be on top. Can we seriously start a petition to get rid of this rule?

show me how there is clutter in the sections i moderate. there is none.

if you love sole collector so much then maybe you should be the man over there.

Niketalk isnt here just as a selling tool. If a selling section makes Sole C, then let them shine in that aspect and let us be us.

If you gotta keep relisting the same shoes then maybe your price is to high or your selling stuff that nobody wants. Like bigj said NT isn't only about selling its way more then that. If you wanna brag about the other site then continue to sell over there, I'm sure since you don't have to keep making listings you sell things way quicker right. The rule is in place for a reason.

I agree that the two week limit should be eliminated or extended. Just because the item hasn't sold doesn't necessarily mean your price was too high, but could be of lack of exposure. I'm sure like everyone else who browses doesn't visit the buy/sell forum within a time period of 2 weeks. Yes those selling one or two items may have the patience to take pictures so often, along with requests from members, but those selling a multitude of items may get despaired altogether. At least consider extending the time.

This man speaks a lot of sense and I agree 100%. bigj505 and Baby Jumpman, you guys are assuming things and no one said that Niketalk is just a selling tool. I love NT for many reasons and have been going here for 11-12 years. I'm just echoing something that has been a problem in the past with other members. It's something that would make NT, as a whole, more user friendly.

What I mean by user friendly exactly is that it would save all the members' time as well as the mods' time. What is the reason for the two week rule anyway? I'm not trying to be a smart ***, but what really is the fear in eliminating that rule and just making all threads last forever if the original poster so chooses? They can leave it open until it sells or whatever, then they can close it. No harm done to anyone. What am I missing here?

there is no assuming in my statement. its a direct response to your comment made. take the issue up with the big man since hes the creator of the rules. make sure you gloat about how sole collector is so much better when doing so also :smokin
