quitting drinking/smoking in college?

    Next semester I want to try and give up drinking and smoking (weed). Not that I have an addiction problem, but it's just something I've wanted to dofor my health and to focus more on school. My question is, if you tried this in a college environment how did you deal with it and did you succeed. How did ithelp you in the short and long run, is it worth it to quit completely or should I try to strike more of a balance. Not basing my decision on anyone else'sexperiences I just want to know how other people have handled this.

    ^ true... but some people might have to do more than that.

    OP whatever your "triggers" are that push you to smoke and drink, you're gonna have to stay away from them.

    Also, try and ween yourself off. If a friend wants to smoke and drink, don't be afraid to say no.

    And don't wait until the semester starts to try and stop. Start now.

    i still drink sometime but i quit [​IMG]. it was incredibly easy.
