how exactly do you wash your jeans?? ( i think this is the most intersing)

i may try it for the heck of it...
raw jeans are essentially jeans that didn't go through the factory wash (on purpose, of course), so they are just that. raw. you wear them, and with time, the jeans will fade, because of the natural state they are in, in a sort of form-fit of whoever is wearing them.
the fading that occurs is just the indigo rubbing off wherever there is wear and abrasion. you wash them whenever you want, but the standard is usually around the 6 month mark. of course, you can wash them before or many months after that. it's all about preference.

the wash takes away more indigo from the jeans, creating a more contrasted result.

Hand wash
w/ Dr. Bronners.

realtalk, that sucks Ty.

I'd be mad, g. Since you said that you won't be purchasing any more Nudies, I'm curious what denim  you've copped recently.

My newest cop is this Flat Head/Self Edge collab:

Crying over jeans that youve had for 5 years? C'mon guy, get over it. Id say you got your moneys worth.

Oh and BTW, he clearly stated, "one pair is 5 years no wash and the other pair is 4 years no wash." and even though he said there are other ways to clean jeans, he never said THESE were.

Let me start out by saying I wear raw denim, I own several pairs and have tried many different ways of getting fades.  Now there is no reason to not wash your jeans in the washing machine for 5 years.  Some of the best faded Samurais I have seen were washed each month since the day the dude bought them.  Plus washing them keeps the fibers stronger and prevents blowouts.  Just throw them in there inside out with woolite dark and wash on delicate, and remove to hang dry before going through the spin cycle.  And no offense to Ty, but for 4-5 years those Nudies look terrible.  They are supposed to fade quick, I could rock a pair and in 6 months having them look like that.

r.i.p. indeed... i need to get hole in my nudies fixed sometime soon. the only thing i don't like about them, they get holes in the crotch area. i'm 2 years strong in mine.
