I'm not sure how far you can go back with this, but I "thought" of this the other day and it's worked going back into the 1860s thus far...

If you take a year, 1981 for example, and add it up

1 + 9 + 8 + 1 = 19

then add those numbers together

1 + 9 = 10

then add those together

1 + 0 = 1

and keep doing it for every year after that...

(1982) 1 + 9 + 8 + 2 = 20, 2 + 0 = 2

a pattern repeats going from 1 to 9.

Random fact about me, I was born 8/8/84.

Since 2000, if you add up all the numbers in the date of my birthday it equals the age I'm turning.

For example:

8/8/00= 16
8/8/04= 20
8/8/08= 24
8/8/09= 25

THis continues until 2100. Weird but cool nevertheless.
