You did get a bad pair! The retros Reebok did recently didn't have any cushioning. It was stupid.
Anyway, I'll give a brief review. I have the old school Questions, the low cut version. From what I hear the new ones have cush, so the feel and the fitshould be accurate.
It's hard to be biased and put the normal fit/ankle/cush categories on here. I've balled in the Questions for basically most of my life. I tried themon in Champs when I was working there during high school and when I put my foot down the hexalite under the forefoot was just love at first wear.
The cushioning is hexalite, under the heel and forefoot. It's soft and pillowy and at the same time it reacts to your foot and you can feel it. It'swhat you'd get it the zoom air combined with the regular air bag. In a word, it's COMFORTABLE. Best part about the shoe, performance wise. Itdoesn't bottom out, either, after destroying 3 or so pairs of Questions through bball they've never gone flat on me. The shoe quality is top notch -nice leather, soft ankle collar - and it'll last for a while, and a bonus feature is that for whatever reason Reebok makes icy soles that last. Seriously.I have a pair of 98 issues still in DS quality and the soles are completely light blue, no yellow. The problem with the shoe is that it's not small:you're moderately off the floor so court feel isn't that great, and the inner lining takes up a little bit of space. My feet are on the wide side, andwhen I break in a pair my pinky toe usually gets a blister before the leather breaks in. These are relatively minor concerns, really. The shoe will break inand your feet will fit well. The shoe is a little puffy due to the liner, but that means it's really comfy throughout the foot and you can play for days. The ventilation is done through the perforated tongue, which sounds weird, but it's because the rest of the shoe is leather there isn't another place. It works, though, and I've never had a problem with overheating like some other kicks I could mention (cough Lebron IV cough) because I put in runs ofhours at a time and my feet always feel great when I get back home.
If you want it boiled down a single sentence, here you go: It's a little bulky and on the heavy side, but the quality material and build mean theridiculously comfortable hexalite and lining will last for a long time.
I'd give these a solid B on court performance - or a 8.5/10. The shoe is a little bulky, but when you're playing it's not heavy or big enough sothat you ever think about it. The cushioning is unbelievable.
Plus, IMO, these are beautiful on foot. I just wear the lows, but I always get compliments. You can't go wrong with the Questions.
