how are the 2006 rertos peformance wise?

ive had both the original and the retros and for me, the only difference is the air vent in the original seem to be more functional.. i don't really feelthe air vent working well on the retros..other then that, i don't remember the difference...

but for a quick review on the shoes

cushion : 4.5/5 very responsive - similar to the 2k4
grip : 4/5 very sticky on clean floors, but on dusty floors they drop drastically in grip...
fit: 4/5 - true to size, and the hug your feet very well.
ankle support: 3.5/5 : decent ankle support

i love it when i play bball

only bad thing about is that it doesn't provide great ankle support and it loses traction if the ground has dirt/dust.

IMO, the cushioning of the 05-06 retroes were kind of on the hard side (the CDP 14s are noticeable softer). Like everyone else has said, traction is greatunless playing on a dirty surface, and there's little to no ankle support. It really feels like a low top. The fit is pretty good. It hugged my instepwhile maintaining a roomy toebox. The retro 14s are one of my favorite ball shoes but I'd only recommend it for people who like to play in lows.

i liked my XIV retro... beat it to death.

they didn't last very long though.
