Why? Mods can't be everywhere, so who cares. Everyone knows the rules, you make a choice to either disobey them or not, no one makes you do anything...Ilook at this place like school. Sometimes when the teacher turns her back and misses something. If I see it I may or may not say something, plain and simple.People wanna complain about a "better" NT but just laugh and validate when people start getting rude/hurtful/piggish...its my choice to be on her andmy choice to do what I feel necessary to keep it "fun"...but my "report" button doesn't work on my phone so its whatever for awhile..

 

Yeah I have hit that button before, no shame to it. We all wanna enjoy the experience, if someone is impeding on that then ill say something..and the funnything is if I feel its reportable ill say soemthing in that thread. I'm not sitting at home hitting the report button on the low. I wouldn't be pissyif I got reported because I'm sure I've stepped over the line before AND I don't havean issue with taking responsibility for my actions..

Cliffnotes: Its not fun to be somewhere with no rules..its even less fun if the people in charge have other things to do (ie life) and people run amuck..

The mods/admins encourage that sort of behavior, and I have to say I agree with them. They can't be everywhere at once, so it doesn't hurt to havenon-administrative members helping out with telling people to edit an inappropriate post or explaining a rule to them.

In most cases, I think people are trying to help other members from getting in trouble - at least that's my goal anytime I drop in to say something likethat.

It's one thing if they're trolling, it's another if they're right.

Now that was a good one, I literally lol..but I mean, someone tell me the downside to it. Are you so against "snitching" that you can't even hita button when someone is messing up? People were PISSED when they made that beasting without getting banned thread because they didn't wanna be told whatto do. Well if the mods see soemthing happing often and they have to keep addressing it then they make threads like that. Hit that report button and THATperson is effected, not the whole community. That's all I'm saying, I don't wanna be "punished" for someone elses mistakes.
