Rumor: Memphis won their appeal to the NCAA, get to keep wins, records, and Final Four

take it for what it's worth...from a Memphis board:

This rumor has been going around, but here is the best I could gather:

1. We keep the wins, final four, all that stuff.

2. We pay the money back from the tournament for the clarical error on the Rose trip that was not paid for.

3. NCAA says that we get to keep the wins so that all universitys can have faith in the clearinghouse, but we are still punished by the fine and probation.

4. We may have given the NCAA some info so that they will focus their teeth onto someone else.

Not saying this is fact, but I have heard this exact thing from several different folks.

Well, that's gotta be a good sign for UK when the NCAA starts investigating Coach Cal again around 2015.
