from what ive heard (never been to NY) is that the city of NY treats it just like any other convention whereas the city of SD absolutely EMBRACES it! the gaslamp district completely absorbs the theme of the culture, workers dress up, businesses hosts meet ups, petco park has free venues for non badged people. even if you didn't have a badge you can experience A LOT of what's going on.

Sucks when you read on twitter that some people won multiple lotteries. Oh well. So I figure I would throw that black lighting minifig on the bay. Thinking I might get $30 for it. Pre selling for $200!!! What’s the deal with these minifigs?
 
Going to try and get tickets tomorrow.

Wouldn't mind tickets for Preview night and Thursday.
