School Me On Being A Firefighter.

I don't know much but your strength and endurance better be up.

you can usually get your certificates at your local community college.

the hard part i believe is actually landing a job.

most firefighters are also emt's prior to actually getting a job as an actual firefighter.

i have more info but cant really think of it right now. let me know if u have any more questions il try to answer them,

Depends where. I mean, in New York, you're screwed unless your dad was a firefighter, for the most part. And it's mad competitive still.

Academy- classroom and physical (tough) training.
Graduation- pretty much gets you the job
The schedule is great- my cousin's is 4 days 24 hrs at the sataion with 3 days off so he gets plenty of time with his family,
but it's dangerous work and the things that he sees take a toll on him mentally sometimes. But the pay is great.
If you're interested talk with someone locally because every system is different.

you put out fires........

? I have several family members that are FDNY. It is one of the most competitive departments in the country. This is fact, not fiction.
