Im a High School senior and is undecided on where to go? Those are my choices and I want to hear what you guys think. For the most part im leaning toward SDSUjust so i can get away from home but if i get into UCR my parents are gonna make me go there, is there something about SDSU that is a lot better than UCR or isUCR a better school then SDSU? also interested in CSULB if the other 2 aren't good.

it depends on what you plan on majoring in...SDSU is probably the best school for business, as well as others.

What major are you looking into?

CSULB is known for: Graphic Design, Nursing, and Basketweaving

LONG BEACH BIEEECCHHH LOL. LONG BEACH IS NICE BRO. I LOVE THE CAMPUS FOOD, ITS GREAT. I USED TO GET FREE DORM FOOD. LOL.

Go to SDSU for the attire the females wear (or don't wear) in the first part of each semester.

Oh and they also have excellent Language, Business, Mathematics, and Engineering schools as well.

SDSU C/O 2005, School of Mathematics. Major in Computer Science.

Its a University, where do you stay at?

SDSU and Long Beach State are Universities too, San Diego State University and Long Beach State University. The only difference is that they're Stateschools versus UC school. UCR, it's freakin hot, black dirt mountains, not much to do around there I think. I'd lean more towards SDSU myself.

hahahaha youre doing a piss poor job of convincing this kid that UCR is a fine academic institution (especially if you are the product of a UCR degree).

Im a handful of years removed from college so my opinion may be a bit dated.

I am a CSULB alum who spent a ton of time at UCR (buncha my buddies went there so I spent atleat 1 weekend a month, if not every other week up there). Back inthose years Raving was in full swing so UCR was basically UC Raverside and it was a drug den. I cant imagine that much has changed seeing as there is nothingelse to do out in butt funk Riverside. If you like drugs, UCR is the place for you.

Not to say that CSULB was all smiles and sunshine. I hated the place. I got my degree in Business Administration. People will say that the business programthere is ranked and its very presitigous and this and that, bull honky (atleast for undergrad). The business curriculum there is an effin cake walk. Itsbasically an extension of High School. Either it speaks highly of my intelligence (doubtful) or poorly of the curriculum (likely) but I would attendapproximately 25% of the time (1st day, mid terms, presentations, and finals) and still set the curve in several of my upper division coursework for my major. The MBA program there might be good but the undergrad program is balls.

If i had to choose all over knowing what I know now I would probably go to SDSU just cause its in SD and I could get season tickets to the Chargers.

I'm a senior too and i applied to all three schools also. I have a 3.0gpa and 1560 on my SATs. What are my chances of getting into the Cal states? Mycounselor told me that i'm going to get accepted to riverside, but i heard that long beach is pretty hard to get into for a cal state.

UCR Represent!!!
No, but really, UCR is good if you aren't into partying and you just want that bachelors. If youre looking to party, then SDSU or CSULB is your best bet.

My brother got into long beach with similar grades at a private high school. you should be fine. (LB)
SDSU is a lot harder to get into because its more competitive. a lot more people are trying to get in.
