Basically I would like suggestions of pretty decent restaurants to eat at around Seattle.
Thanks in advance

i was just about to make this post

i too need a list of good restaurants to eat at, except its for my girlfriend's bday party, so it would need to be able to accomodate a group of 30 or so.

sorry to post jack, here's some restaurants that i've been to and enjoyed so far..

claim jumpers
palominos
duke's chowder house
tamarind tree

im drawing a blank, but i'll post more if i can think of them.

see you at work friday? haha

yeah ill see you at work on friday.

i was also thinking of:
-buca di beppo
-salty's

ill probably check out my coupon book later tomorrow.

If you're looking for a great ambience, I suggest Purple Dot, Honey Court or Sea Garden after the club on a Friday or Saturday. j/k

I guess it depends on how much you want to pay. Daniel's Broiler on leschi is really nice. Pink Door is good too. What kind of food did you have inmind?

I'm not one for droppin a lot of money on food, so I just keep it cheap and simple. If you took me to ****'s for my birthday and got me a deluxe, aspecial, an order of fries and a vanilla shake, I'd be happy as hell.

Beth's cafe is open 24hrs and it was on the food network. I haven't tried it yet but I'm planning on it. I'm a sucker for omelets. Salty'sis also good, you should go to their brunch on Saturday or Sunday, its all you can eat plus its good. . My brother works on the one on Alki so i always get totry out their food.

^ If you're not big on Seafood, Salty's might be a bit pricey for your liking. I'm not really into seafood and they had quite a selection. Theystill have a decent amount of other types of food for the brunch.

Beth's is good. All you can eat hashbrowns and splitting a 6 egg omelet w/ a friend is awesome. All that grease will soak up the brass monkeys and md20/20 from the night.

Here is a list of some of my personal favorite's.
Chinook's at Fisherman's Terminal - Awesome food, but a lil pricey.
Benihana - Place where they cook and do tricks in front of you, expensive tho.
Salty's on Alki - Good food, not quite as expensive.
Daniel's Broiler - Awesome steaks, but really high prices.
Metropolitan Grill - Best steaks in town, really high prices tho.http://www.10best.com/Seattle,WA/Restaurants/
And here's a list of the top 10 restaurants in Seattle.

paseos on fremount. its basically a shack but always packed with people. they have the best caribbean food.

Casualitas in Seattle has some good Caribbean food! It's pretty close to Belltown and I think it's on 1st.

Beth's is a really neat place to go. We have a picture hung up when me and a bunch of friends went after a performance. Omelettes that fit pizza pans withall you can eat-greasy as hell-straight off the griddle hashbrowns. Very low key place tho, wouldn't want to take a date there if you're trying toimpress her.

ipanema is a great palce to go too. pretty pricey. all you can eat brazillian food cooked "rotisserie" style (forgot the actual name) 34.95 fordinner. a good experience, the meat they have is incredible (pause). Small cheeses, rice, potatoes on the side. all you can eat. incredible pineapple dessert.graet for big$$!% groups with a plump pocket.

Metropolitan is good too. Very upscale tho. and pricey.

Can't think of any more. Hope it helps some. YEE!

purple dot for ambiance? Are you serious? It is great for late nigh drunk people, cause you can get tea smoked duck, speghetti and a syeak but ambiance itdoesn't have.

I suggest Umi, Jaks, assiago, and in all honesty I second whom ever said Mediteranian Kitchen, I have never been to the newer location but their chickenschwarma with noodles was about my favorite dish ever when they were on Roy and the salad dressing will put hair on your chest.

Dunks isn't lying about Paseos either, not good for a 30 person party but anyone wo hasn't eaten there owes it to themselves to at least swing throughfor a sandwich. I work right near them and we order ther a lot.

p.s. Ipanema sounds good, and you should just tell the gf not to have another birthday until the Anthony Bourdain episode in Seattle airs.

EDIT: One more thought, if you have a little time before you have to book try e-mailing the P.I. and Times food critics, give them the approx number of guests, the price range per head ou are looking for, the kinds of food you or the gf are interested in and see what they have to say. In around 96 I had a date with agirl that was a vegetarian, and this is before there were quite as many options and I didn't want to take her somewhere nice and then be like "Babe Ithought maybe you would get a salad?" So I called the Times guy and he gave me a bunch of options, places I had never heard of as well as places that wereheavy on the ambiance and chicness but not so hard on my pocketbook. The guy was great, give that a shot.

BFO. ... I did add the "j/k" after I mentioned Purple Dot.

Ipanema's is great like mentioned above. It's not all you can eat like OCB, but doods come to your table and carve out meat for you. pause. From what Ican remember eating was chicken, bacon wrapped turkey, bacon wrapped beef, tri tip, peppered beef, garlic beef, wild boar, lamb and they have a lot more that Iforgot. The side dishes are very good as well I wasn't really trying to eat it. The grilled pineapple is bomb!

For cheap eats, Musashi's on 45th is good. Very good Teriyaki and sushi. Get there early if you want a seat. Very small.

Dahlia Lounge, Lola's, Ichiban's, Moonlight Cafe,Tutta Bella, Casuelitas, and some korean places in Lynnwood are where I'm usually eating if we goand eat out.

*edit* The food at Wann and Ohana's is good too!

Dunks I'll bite tell me about your night at Bucca De Beppo? I went there with family for my 21st, and slept face down in m y pasta at the table.

just to say short, my car window got smashed open, and my camera (nikon d40) got stolen... i dont know how the thieves knew it was there because it was coveredand i had 20% tint... BTW, this happened within the 15 min that i was away from my car

. i am NEVER going to park there again (something and roy... thealley behind beppo's)

--13 COINS is nice, there are 2 locations, one by westlake and the other in sea tac by the airport. pricey and there is always a long wait, open 24 hours
--Todai not the best put a good place to go if your going to have more than 30 people with. Buffet style and the birthday person gets in for free IF you go onthe day of their birthday.
--Tualip Casino-Great food, nice portions, not to bad on the price, if 21 you can play after/before, DOWNSIDE its a bit deep but I always find the way to driveback home.

The Purple Dot tricked me.

...or i just dont know how to order food correctly.
