Up until just recently I was using 2K5's to play ball in. I noticed that after a short while, the bottom of my feet(plantar fascia?) would start hurting. I switched to IX mids and I haven't had any of the foot pain that I did with the 2K5's.

Can anyone tell me what material the IX consists of? And is there anything out NOW, other than CDP, that I can buy that is comparable to the IX? Or somethingthat uses the same material/technology?

I'm considering buying the Huarache 08 or the Sharkleys. Are either of those good choices?

I have the exact same problem as you. Don't get any type of huarache, they don't have much arch support. I would get any Jordan with a carbon fiberplate. Not kobes though even though they have a carbon fiber plate, they are flat. The zoom flight 96 is very good. The arch feels painful the first 2-3 wears, but after that it breaks in very nicely, plus they are only like $60 on finishline.com and finishline stores. And there are coupons floating around in the nikeforum.

hope this helps.

put some insoles with support in it and you would not have a problem. i do that to my huarache elite and it is tolerable.

How funny you mention that. I was JUST @ FL today and they had their last pair(black/blue) on the clearance rack. I tried them on, already knowing theywere gonna be stiff, and I still passed on them. I have a $50 gift card too, which would've made them around $20 bucks or so.

I may just go back andget them.

Any specific insole you recommend? I'd like to try that as well. My 2K5's are still in wearable condition cause they've only been used oncourt surfaces.

i used the blue superfeet insoles. very nice and you can use it in any shoe you want. quick fix.

the blue superfeet is for casual shoes, and the green superfeet is for sports. But both are basically built the same way.
They feet harder than a normal insole though.
