Shoes for flat feet?

I feel u pain man, I have flat feet too. I usually just buy whatever shoes I like regardless of arch support. Then I put my Dr. Scholls arch supports in there and that makes them comfortable.

The doc told me that I would need arch support to keep my feet from hurting. Thats y I don't wear AF1's. They have ZERO support. But seems like you are having the opposite problem. The only thing I can suggest are the AF1.

the Nike Zoom Lebron IVs are great for my flat feet....the midfoot is raised a little bit and you can feel that nice cushy zoom air...

arch support is something you need for ppl with flat feet. its suppose to help you, not hurt you. i suggest seeing a dr. about this

best thing to do is go to a foot doctor & get an orthotic. basically is a custom insole built to give you support for you arch.
YO, DO ME A FAVOR?
ACCIDENTALLY STEP ON YOUR WHITE SUNGLASSES

I'm flat-footed too. The best basketball shoe for flat feet, if that's what your asking, has to be the Lebron IV's IMO. That's if your a big guy. If your a guard, the Huarache 2K4's aren't bad either, at least not for me. I only wore the 2K4's casually though, but the ride wuz cozy. For casual wear, I think your good either way. But I'm like 754Boy, I buy a shoe if I like, regardless of support. But it kills when I wanna strap up some Flightposites. :rolleyes

Park in a driveway, and drive in a parkway?!?!? WHA?!?!? I think I'll just take "Flight"!!!

definetly go to a foot doctor, and get it checked out. they got the knowledge and they can tell you specifically what type of problem you have. because not every flat feet is the same, some might not be as flat as others, so the more general insoles won't work for every person.

So definetly at least go see a specialist about it, if its bothering you lots, and if u tried the non-custom insoles already.

However theres a very major point that needs to brought up in this thread. I got a post running in the Sneakers Reviews Forum, but its good to get a discussion started here too.

A foot specialist told me that any air based cushioning and shock based cushioning (aka Nike Air and Shox, probably a3 and NB Zip is probably in there too) is not good for ppl. with flat feet, because what ppl. with flat feet need are shoes that have motion control. overall shoes that stabalize your feet and not have it rocking and losing support. he gave an example like an egg on Air, take a moment to imagine it, and u'll know that its not as stable as lets say Asics Gel (if u have seen Issue 19 of Sole Collector, flip to the Asics Page and u should be able to imagine this more throughly). So what do you guys think, u think the specialist is speaking the truth, or just loads of BS?
Anybody willing to ID Kobe II, and then send them to Canada?, PM me for fee

^^^it is true, plus asics running shoes are just overall better than nikes. thats what they focus on is running shoes. asics shoes are the truth. go to a running store where they watch you walk and run and check your arches and everything else to find out exactly what kind of shoe you need. then you just pick out the most comfy of the group.

^^ but just in general, just for walking around casually, does that mean you can't rock Air Maxs, or Dunk SBs because they got an airsole. or if ur playing ball, and you want to play with Zoom Air in a pair of LBJIVs, does that mean u can't do that?

would what i said above still be true for these activities?

my flat feet love AF1s, AM97s, and AZGs.

..with so much personality,
what do you want from me?
i could be by myself and enjoy the company..
but i'd ratherher

just shoes for flat feet in general huh? air maxes dont really give me too much comfort, so I recommend Air Zoom Spiridons for that light weight supported feeling. There isn't too much arch support to the point where my mid foot begins to hurt after long hours on foot. As for basketball, i still haven't gotten over the AZG II. Those Lebrons are simply everything I've wanted in a basketball shoe, but to answer your question they're wide enough for flat feet.
