size 7 mens = size 7Y ?

not sure if this was the right place to post....
but i been wanting to my girl a pair of Js (she wears a mens size 7) and ran across some kicks sized 7Y. So is a 7mens equivalent to a 7Y?

yup, i definitely saw some differences in material. where theres plastic on the mens version, its leather on the Y version. i wish it didnt make it seemso variant-++#, ah well it'll be a gametime decision this weekend.
