Another summer in the books!
In the Hawaiian language, moʻolelo (pronounced mo-oh-leh-loh) generally means story, history, or legend. It encompasses a wide range of narratives passed down through generations, including myths, genealogies, and cultural traditions. Essentially, it's the way Hawaiian culture preserves and transmits its knowledge, values, and history through storytelling.
Each student designed a shoe about a person/place important to them or their Ohana.
Throughout the course we learned about shoe design, and also the sneaker community... aka places like Niketalk
Please like/comment on some of the projects as it really means the world to the kids.
**also to any NT educators, please reach out as I would happy to share curriculum for this class
