Yes in terms of hip hop, and...

1) All time
2) Currently

(can't believe I left that off though)

Staten Island got the Wu though

people like to forget

I promise there was like a 100 page thread on this though like 2 years ago

You talking about in terms of Hip-Hop? Currently, all time, or what?...

And how the hell you gonna forget about where it all started at?

u totally disrepected da bronx....but queens is definitely number 1 in terms of quality.

idk Brooklyn got Jay and Big

and Kweli depending on how you count it

he claim Brooklyn but he was born in Queens

Nah, you're not right OP.

The correct order is: Queens>Brooklyn>Bronx>SI>Harlem>Yonkers.

JAY-Z, BIGGIE, NAS = ALL FROM BROOKLYN ( YES, NAS IS FROM BROOKLYN BORN IN CROWN HEIGHTS

HAVING BIGGIE AND JAY ALONE IS A WIN.....WE ALSO GOT KANE

Did this dude just try to claim Nas for Bk?

. Nas reps QB no running or dodging around that, with that being said OP, your list is right.

forgive me but I dont see how Nas and Mob Deep beat Jay and Big

honestly just cause the first dude said queens everyone just gonna follow the leader here

Jay arguably the best to ever do it

and if he not then most people have him 2 behind BIG

so how queens touching that

AND

the Island got the Wu so they puts them no less than 3 maybe 4 on anybodies list

Nas, ATCQ, Run DMC, Mobb Deep, Kool G Rap, LL Cool J, Cormega, Marley Marl, Onyx, 50, Ali Vegas, Queen Latifah, Lost Boyz, Capone n Noreaga, Pharoahe Monch etc., etc., etc.

Queens > *

i can see queens and bk battling for the #1 spot ( i say brooklyn) but why the Bronx over bk?

Big, Jay, DJ Premier, Kweli, Kane, Jas-O, Lil Kim, MOP, MC Lyte, Busta, RZA, GZA and ODB (i know SI but they grew up in BK), Fab, Mos, Spike Lee

BK go toe to toe with any borough

I don't see why producers cant be mentioned. it's about Hip-Hop.

BUT.....
What does spike have to do with this? Serious question.

You can def make a case for BK especially with such strong contenders in Jay and Big, but it's really tough to beat Queens, imo.

LL, Run DMC, Kool G Rap, Nas, Mobb Deep, ATCQ... that alone is too strong given the amount of classics. And those are only a few.

But honestly, you can make a case for all of them.

One can say Hip-Hop wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the BX and the entire convo is over lol.

Spike Lee has done more to hip hop than half the rappers mentioned in this thread

real talk he influences culture especially hip hop culture  in seismic ways

I really don't see it. please give examples of how he influences the culture, especially recently.
