So, maybe the admins should do something about this Trojan virus *#+##+#$.

I was wondering what that was. I got a virus message at least 5 times yesterday on my work computer. It was removed each time, but I'd rather not gothrough this mess. I haven't seen anything on my laptop, and hopefully it stays that way.

I say you just ditch the ads all together. If you need money to host it make NTer pay for membership (like a one time fee per name and a monthly fee), I haveno idea how much that costs, but I don't think it would be all that crazy an amount and I think it would make NT a better place.

But yeah, Macs FTW

I had to clean up my Windows yesterday night as well. NT completely made that computer run like a turtle.

When using my iMac, there is no problems. So, I'm guessing it's just for Windows.

I had the same problem on Sunday and cleaned everything up but I am just curious as to whether or not anyone experienced problems with Windows Media Player orAIM after the virus? Because I can no longer open these programs for some reason. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

i honestly dont know what you guys do. I have absolutely NO virus scanner/malware scanner/firewall on my computer and im cruise control for cool.

btw, norton/symmantec / mcafee antivirus suck. so does any software firewall. a bunch of blogware trash.

I think I noticed once before a month or two back that I got a trojan warning but my firewall was able to block the connection (I think). The only problemI've been having on Opera is randomly the site will switch to another one advertising some nonsense, which I've only seen happen before on sketchy !%%sites. I think it's time to switch...

I GOT A TROJAN BANKER LAST WEEK, NOW I GOT ANOTHER FREAKIN TROJAN RIGHT NOW WHEN I WAS ON NT. THIS IS GETTING ANNOYING.

yup i got that one too....i used firefox, then chrome, same thing. then i installed noscript on firefox and that helped to avoid it.

How am I supposed to download those programs that I need or the Java update when my browser won't stay open for more than 10 seconds?
If it's the same thing I had (windowsantivirus2009) then the virus is triggered when your connected to the internet. when I turned on mycomputer and had the internet on it would crash as soon as would load up the desktop. try turning off the internet before you run the computer and run anyvirus scans you have.

If you need to download any virus scans or malware cleaners then you can try and boot in safe mood with networking and turn the internet on after a couple ofminutes. and then download the programs and run them in safe mood.

If you do have access to another pc with internet access then download Malwarebytes and copy it to you pc with a flashdrive and try it. Hope you guys can farebetter than I did. I had to do a system recovery, but was able to keep most of my files.
