So who's good at pool?

Never knew this thread even existed. Played alot when I was younger and even had one in my home when I was in high school. Fun game that's also a great tool for conversations. I also echo the sentiments of women finding it cool, don't even have to be great at but to the untrained eye you and your friends will look like the new rat pack

Jamaicans are excellent at pool. Last time I went dudes were so good I backed out early and just watched. I mean any random person in this little spot that came in was like pro level. Wish I had dough to bankroll a league and get them on an international level.

I suck at pool but i still play. It's a struggle trying to end the game if all the players aren't good.

I started it years ago. Now that most of us are washed I decided to revive it.

Used to play a lot as a kid but I haven’t played in years. My cousin and I were part of the local YMCA as kids and he used to buy pool sticks at Modells. He would leave them there and I would always use them to flex on other kids. Best player I ever faced was my uncle. He wiped the floor with me and laughed the whole time. I think a billiards table is the perfect thing to have in a crib, if you have enough space. It’s a game you can play by yourself for hours.

Prayers up. Used to mess with her heavy on ESPN back in the day.

Jeanette Lee, a former billiards No. 1 player known as "The Black Widow," was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer, she said on Wednesday.

Lee, 49, helped popularize pool in the 1990s while competing on ESPN's broadcasts of the Women's Professional Billiard Association circuit. She's a World Games gold medalist as well as WPBA, BCA and Asian Hall of Fame inductee.

“I intend to bring the same resolve I brought to the billiards table to this fight,” Lee said in a statement via the American Poolplayers Association (APA). “Jim Valvano so eloquently told us to ‘Never give up.' I owe it to my three young daughters to do exactly that.”

Damn, I remember I used to randomly catch ESPN showing her play like around 2007-2009. That's horrible to hear that.

I have really really really bad depth perception so I think you can imagine how great I am at pool
At least it always brings laughs I suppose
